Non-Cancer Treatments at 5D Cancer Services
Non-Cancer Conditions We Treat
We use incredibly low doses of radiation to treat non-cancerous inflammatory and fibroproliferative conditions in just 6 one-minute sessions over 2–3 weeks.
Dupuytren's Contracture
Non-surgical treatment to slow or halt thickening of hand tissue that causes fingers to bend toward the palm.
Learn morePlantar Fasciitis
Low-dose radiation therapy for chronic heel pain when physical therapy, orthotics, and injections haven't provided relief.
Learn moreKeloid Scars
70–90% recurrence prevention after surgical keloid removal with post-excision radiation therapy.
Learn moreHeterotopic Ossification
Prophylactic radiation therapy prevents abnormal bone formation in soft tissue after joint replacement surgery — 85–90% prevention rate.
Learn moreOsteoarthritis
Low-dose radiation therapy reduces chronic joint pain in osteoarthritis when medications and injections haven't provided lasting relief.
Learn moreHow Low-Dose Radiation Works for Benign Conditions
Low-dose radiation therapy for benign conditions uses doses far below those used in cancer treatment. At these low levels, radiation has an anti-inflammatory effect — it modulates the immune response and reduces the abnormal cell activity that drives conditions like Dupuytren's contracture, plantar fasciitis, and keloid formation. Each session lasts approximately one minute. There is no pain during treatment, no recovery period, and no wound care.
