The Philosophy of A.I.M.
At 5D Cancer Services, we believe every patient should be given the opportunity to receive ADAPTIVE treatment as this represents the future standard for personalized cancer care! We embrace the acronym of A.I.M. with stands for Adaptation, Imaging and Margins. The ability to successfully ADAPT treatment plans and account for daily changes in cancer shape and position is dependent upon excellent pre-treatment and “real-time” IMAGING. Radiation Medicine
Over a century ago when radiation was discovered, one of its earliest uses was to treat discomfort from non-cancerous conditions related to inflammation. One hundred and thirty years later, extremely low dose radiation is once again being enthusiastically embraced worldwide to combat painful, non-cancerous (aka benign) conditions such as osteoarthritis (OA) as well as plantar fasciitis, Dupuytren’s Contractures, joint tendonitis and bursitis.
Treatment typically entails 6 one-minute sessions over 2-3 weeks and can be repeated in 3 months if desired. Therapy is entirely non-invasive, painless and generally, no side effects are experienced.

Meet Our Medical Director
Ritchie N. Stevens M.D.
Ritchie N. Stevens completed his residency program in Radiation Oncology at the University of California, Irvine, working alongside the world renowned brachytherapist, Dr. Nisar Syed, and physicians at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, CA.
For 3 decades, his services within the Radiation Oncology field in Southern Nevada remained a dominant force, particularly with prostate and gynecologic malignancies. However, his interests became increasingly focused on embracing technological advancements which have produced superior outcomes, diminished side effects and shortened treatment times.
Always a proponent for patient education, awareness and convenience, Dr. Stevens joins 5D Cancer Services with a goal of providing advanced radiation care through leading edge technologies to the St. George / Southern Utah area; ultimately improving one’s chances for beating cancer with less side effects.
